For more than 10 years Jacob Langvad Nilsson has photographed industrial, energy and mining projects across the world. From Asia to Latin American, Jacob has contributed oil and gas photographs to annual reports, prospectuses and progress reports for various companies, including Petrobras and Diamond Offshore. A pivotal part of his work has been focused on oil drilling projects in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Brazil.
Jacob's oil and gas photos have graced the pages of publications produced by Houston-based design agency Rigsby Hull, and scores of smaller oil and gas ventures. With a background in editorial photography for international magazines and advertisement photography, Jacob takes his depth of
experience from photojournalism into corporate and industrial photography where he highlights the strength, skills and character of his subjects.
Drawing on the raw strength and isolation of the subjects, as well as the unique character of the people involved, his oil, gas and mining photography skills are without equal. Not only is Jacob acquainted with the health and safety demands of life on board rig tenders, oilrigs, open cut and underground mines and milling operations, he is prepared to travel from his base in New York, U.S. to energy-related and offshore projects anywhere in the world.
